To the mountains we go!

Hello, parents,

This blog is designed to give you daily updates on the June term trip to Tennessee. Each day, a few of the students on the June term trip will be assigned to report on their day, post pictures, and give you a general idea of what we've been up to.

We will be working with a theatre group that puts on a passion play each year at the Townsend Amphitheatre. The group is sponsored by the Chilihowee Baptist Association, and their primary purpose is to share the gospel through theatre. We will be doing general cleanup around the theatre to help get them ready for their season and for a children's camp, and we will also join them for a day of music and theatre on Saturday. Several local choirs and performing groups will be there, and we will present a short, original play for all of the participants.

The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is one of the prettiest places on earth, and we will have some time to explore this natural resource. There are marvelous historic sites to visit, and we will take full advantage of the chance to get into nature and learn more about the pioneers of the area.

Here is when each student will be responsible for the blogging for the day:

Monday: Linnea and Lissa
Tuesday: Annie and Katelin
Wednesday: Bill, Matt, and Zack
Thursday: AJ and Chris
Friday: Anna and Taby
Saturday: Chelsea and Lauren
Sunday:Kate and Kendahl

Feel free to comment on what we're doing and send your greetings to your son or daughter!

-Ms. Corts

I can't wait for Katelin to blog. It will be amazing. Katelin is just amazing at life. I love Katelin M. If life was a sport she'd be on varsity. When she is a "pretty girl" for the short show she is doing and says "get on with it" is totally the best part.

Go Katelin!!!!! YOU ARE AMAZING!!!!! I LOVE YOU!!

Haha.
